Sewing like the Wind

"Sew, Sew like the Wind Grandma..."{The Three Amigos}
***
I am attempting to sew like the wind before I head to my sister's house who has a new baby girl on the way.
***
The sewing list for my sister who doesn't sew,
which means, more fun for me.
***
1. Babydoll blanket for my cute niece. I used random scraps pieced together and a white knit for the back. She is gonna love all the fun prints...she is that kinda girl.
Need scraps look no further - scrap packs.
2. Baby blanket for new baby girl. Art Gallery's Lime Flowery Trellis and Poetry Dangling Ovals.
3. Playroom curtains with ribbon ties. Can't wait to see them hanging.
4. Curtains for dinning room. (not sure on fabric yet)
5. Curtains for newly remodeled bathroom. (not sure on fabric yet)
6. Plus recover her dining chairs (not sure on fabric yet)

Speaking of babies, this little guy is almost 4 months.
What?
Yes, 4 months!
He is so delightful, yummy, cozy, squishy, smiley, and on, and on, and on.... Can you tell I wouldn't mind eating him.

Lacking Straps and Silly Faces

Here is a little sewing project I almost had complete before the new babe arrived. It was my first time sewing a diaper bag and it was fun. If only I could find a spare minute between feedings, diapering, daily chores, and attending to my other little sweet guy to finish it.
It is lacking the straps...someday.

I used Jennifer Paganelli's Sally in Orange and Jenean Morrison's Santa Barbara in Blue. I loved how they look together. There are two big pockets on the outside for my keys, phone and wallet.

The inside.

I wish I would have taken a better picture(maybe straightened out the sides). It has four big pockets...can't have too many pockets.

Here is the big brother. He has been so sweet to his little brother, when his brother cries he makes silly faces to try to make him feel better, he's a cutie. Baby "J" continues to cry, but I sure smile.

So a silly face for you...have a HAPPY DAY!

In the Sewing Room + Girly Fabric

Hello, Erica here. Anytime my sweet little guy is in need of a present for a little girl, I pick the girliest fabric I can find, and start sewing something. The little apron above was for a little blond three year old Birthday. This the first apron I have made with a big chunky ruffle along the bottom, I normally add a smaller ruffle along the edges and a little pocket, both are cute. I used the ever darling Leann in Red and Kayla in Blush by Jennifer Paganelli...I think they are like two peas in a pod together. I used a fat quarter for the front and approx. a 1/2 yard for the back, ruffle and tie. I wouldn't mind having one in my size, perhaps my dinners might even taste a little better ;)
P.S. apparently girliest is not recognized as a word, but that's OK, I am pretty good at using words that don't really exist.
